Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, has ridiculed Meta's plans to launch a new social media platform similar to Twitter, calling it a "copy cat." The controversy began when the music news website Daily Loud reported that Meta was exploring the idea of launching a Twitter rival.
In response to a user's comment on Twitter about the motivation behind Meta's decision, Musk commented "Copy cat."

Meta's dedicated Twitter-like app is still in its early stages, with no launch date set yet. However, the company's legal and regulatory teams are already investigating potential privacy concerns surrounding the app. In recent months, several rival platforms have emerged, such as Mastodon, Post.news, and T2, following Musk's takeover of Twitter.
