  • Gen AI editor for photos: Apple is expected to roll out a new tool known as 'Clean Up'. This new tool will let users remove objects from photos seamlessly. It will most probably replace the current 'Retouch' feature. Additionally, iOS 18 is also expected to sport a 'Generative Playground' app which will let users create and edit images using generative AI.
  • Customisable home screen: As per reports, iOS 18 will also bring significant improvements to home screen customisation. With this improvement, users will be able to place app icons anywhere on the grid. They will also be able to create blank spaces, columns, and rows, and change the colour of app icons.
  • RCS support in Messages: The Messages app will enhance the cross-platform messaging standard RCS. It will improve the messaging experience between iPhones and Android users by providing features like higher-resolution media, typing indicators, read receipts, Wi-Fi messaging, and improved group chat functionality.
  • Eye tracking feature: It employs artificial intelligence to enable users to control their iPhone and iPad solely with their eyes. This innovation, primarily intended for individuals with physical disabilities, presents an intriguing glimpse into Apple's AI advancements.
  • Music Haptics: It will enable individuals who are deaf or have hearing impairments to sense music beats via vibrations on their iPhones. Additionally, there are Vehicle Motion Cues, designed to ease iPhone or iPad usage in a moving vehicle, particularly beneficial for those susceptible to motion sickness.
