After Being Cornered With Sexual Misconduct Allegations, TN BJP General Secretary KT Raghavan Resigns
TN State BJP unit president Annamalai said that a committee will be formed under the leadership of state secretary Malarkodi to investigate the allegations.
Chennai: Tamil Nadu BJP General Secretary KT Raghavan submitted his resignation from the party post after a sting operation from a party member showed him making an inappropriate video call to a female party member.
A BJP member and YouTuber Madhan Ravichandran who recently joined BJP at New Delhi in the presence of BJP national president JP Nadda released the video and said that he has such videos of at least 15 BJP members. He also said that he received the acceptance of Tamil Nadu BJP state president K Annamalai to release the video and reportedly Annamalai has given the go ahead in order to provide justice to the woman, said a report in The Hindu.
After the post by Madhan Ravichandran, Raghavan took to social media and said, "People of Tamil Nadu know who I am in the party. The people around me know who I am. I have been working for the past 30 years without expecting anything in return. I learnt that a video about me was released on social media. The video was released to taint my image and the image of the party."

"Today, I met the respectable Tamil Nadu state unit president Annamalai and consulted with him. I am resigning my party post. I deny the charges levelled against me. I'll face the allegations legally. Dharma will win!" he said.
In another statement, Annamalai said that a committee will be formed under the leadership of state secretary Malarkodi and the allegations levelled against BJP functionaries will be investigated and action will be taken if the allegations are found to be true.
