As a result of the severe rain, flights that were scheduled to arrive from a number of overseas locations, including Singapore, Abu Dhabhi, Sharjah, Dubai, Colombo, Muscat, Doha, and London, were diverted to Bengaluru airport. In the same month, around 150 passengers were stranded after Delhi-bound Air India flight was cancelled arbitrarily.
