BJP Should 1st Remove Ministers With Criminal Cases From Its Cabinet: TN CM Stalin On Senthil Balaji's Arrest

Chief Minister MK Stalin made the statement during an exclusive interview with ABP Nadu.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has accused the BJP of practising double standards. In an exclusive interview with ABP Nadu, CM Stalin said that the party should first remove ministers with criminal records from its cabinet rather than questioning the resignation of Minister Senthil Balaji. He said that morality was certainly not a one-way path in politics.

In the interview, Stalin said, "DMK will never support crimes or criminals. Even today, DMK follows the practice of facing accusations legally. In Senthil Balaji's case, the investigating agency should have worked beyond doubt and not the DMK-led government." "There are all kinds of corruption complaints, lawsuits and trials against the former ministers of ADMK. However, it is the BJP government, not the DMK, that has stirred up a controversy by not acting on them but instead arresting Senthil Balaji," he said.

The CM also commented on the Governors and Income Tax departments becoming the talk of the town of the non-BJP-ruled states. The CM said that this trend shows that BJP does not believe in nor respect democracy as envisaged in the Constitution.

He said: "It is evident through the anarchic and outrageous actions of the BJP government. BJP is functioning in the worst and most dangerous ways like using a Governor to try to act against the ruling government, targeting parties that oppose the ideology of the party with the help of ED, CBI and IT, and welcoming and providing a ministerial berth to leaders of other parties with criminal cases pending against them when they join BJP."
