5-Yr-Old Girl Falls Into Borewell In MP's Rajgarh. SDERF, NDRF Deployed In Rescue Efforts

A four-year-old girl fell into an open borewell in Madhya Pradesh's Rajgarh district, prompting rescue efforts involving teams of SDERF, NDRF, and the district administration.

A four-year-old girl fell into an open borewell on Tuesday evening in Pipliya Rasoda village, under Boda Police Station limits, Rajgarh district, Madhya Pradesh. The Superintendent of Police, Dharmraj Meena, confirmed the incident, stating that efforts are underway to rescue the child, news agency PTI reported. The State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF) has been deployed to the site, making arrangements to provide oxygen inside the borewell shaft.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, through his official social media account, assured that all possible measures were being taken for the safe rescue of the girl.

"The teams of SDERF, NDRF, and the district administration are trying to get the girl out safely. I am also in constant touch with the local administration. We will leave no stone unturned to bring the girl out safely," Chief Minister Chouhan stated.

This incident follows a recent similar occurrence in Bihar's Nalanda district, where a 3-year-old boy fell into a 40-ft borewell in Kul village. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel successfully rescued the child after a few hours of intensive efforts. The borewell was reportedly left uncovered by a farmer, news agency ANI reported.

In another incident in Madhya Pradesh's Vidisha, a two-and-a-half-year-old girl fell into a 20-feet-deep borewell in Kajari Barkheda village. Despite successful rescue efforts, the child was declared dead by doctors.
