'Bihar Is Going To Witness Something Big After 4 June,' Says Tejashwi, Hints At BJP-Nitish Discord Again

After Nitish Kumar cited ill health to skip PM Modi's nomination filing in Varanasi, Tejashwi claimed that the JD(U) leader and Bihar CM secretly wished for the BJP's defeat.

New Delhi: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday said that "significant developments" will occur in Bihar after the Lok Sabha election results are announced, suggesting growing tensions between Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and ally BJP. Yadav, who lost his position as Deputy CM following Kumar's sudden return to the NDA in January, made the remarks while speaking with journalists

"Ever since I made the prediction that 'chacha' (uncle) will take a big decision after Lok Sabha polls, he has not been going out to campaign," Yadav said, referring to a claim he made a couple of days ago, reported PTI.

"I have also learnt that it is the Governor who is holding meetings with officials and issuing instructions. On the election front, the BJP and the JD(U) are concentrating on their respective seats, with no synergy," the RJD leader alleged.

"All these things confirm my apprehension that, after June 4, Bihar is going to witness something big (kucch bada)", said Yadav.

Since Nitish Kumar quit the 'Mahagathbandhan', an alliance with the RJD and the Congress, Tejashwi Yadav has notably avoided directly attacking the CM. Throughout the election campaign, however, Tejashwi Yadav has fired salvos at the NDA's alleged internal discord.

After Nitish Kumar cited ill health to skip PM Modi's nomination filing in Varanasi, Tejashwi claimed that the Janata Dal (United) leader secretly wished for the BJP's defeat.

Campaigning in a wheelchair due to a spinal injury, Tejashwi Yadav said that, by the end of the campaign's final phase, he would have addressed 251 election meetings.

Tejashwi Yadav expressed confidence that the I.N.D.I.A bloc is poised for a "spectacular victory", potentially securing over 300 seats. He has predicted that PM Modi will be defeated by "his three beloveds" – poverty, price rise, and unemployment.

When asked about PM Modi's planned visit to Kanyakumari for a marathon meditation session, Yadav suggested it might be a publicity stunt. He remarked that PM Modi should avoid taking the media for self-promotion, advising him to meditate without any "hindrances (baadha)".
