Bihar: 3 MLAs From Mukesh Sahani-Led Vikassheel Insaan Party Join BJP

This came as a setback for the State Animal Husbandry Minister and party chief Mukesh Sahani as another party member Amar Paswan had switched to the Rashtriya Janata Dal on Monday.

New Delhi: Three MLAs of Mukesh Sahani's Vikassheel Insan Party (VIP) joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday. Raju Singh, Mishri Lal, and Savarna Singh left the Vikassheel Insaan Party to join BJP.

Bihar Assembly speaker, Vijay Kumar Sinha gave recognition to all the three MLAs.

VIP has only these three MLAs and one MLC Mukesh Sahani himself as elected representatives.

Both the Deputy Chief Ministers of the state Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi and  the three MLAs of the VIP party, Mishrilal Yadav, Raju Singh and Swarna Singh, have met the Speaker of the Bihar Assembly, reported ABP News.

This came as a setback for the State Animal Husbandry Minister and party chief Mukesh Sahani as another party member Amar Paswan had switched to the Rashtriya Janata Dal on Monday. Amar was a proposed candidate for Bochahan Assembly seat bypoll scheduled for April 12 but he switched parties hours before VIP was to announce his candidature.

Meanwhile, VIP candidate Dr. Geeta Kumari then had filed her nomination papers for the by-elections. Mukesh Sahani, former ministers Ramai Ram and Bairia, former Uttar Pradesh MLA Surendra Prasad Singh and party's national spokesperson Dev Jyoti were also present on the occasion.

Sahani later addressed a public meeting and claimed that even before the Bochahan seat, people had supported his party and today once again people's support is indicating that they will win in this election as well.
