Ashok Gehlot Tapped Sachin Pilot's Phone To 'Topple' His Govt, Reveals Ex-OSD
The OSD to former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Lokesh Sharma said that Gehlot put phones of his party leaders on tapping to "topple" his government in 2020.
An officer on Special Duty (OSD) to former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehot made big claims on Thursday saying that the latter tapped phones of his party leaders to "topple" his government in the state. The former OSD, Lokesh Sharma said that the clip of alleged telephone conversation between Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and some Congress leaders on "toppling" the state's Congress government in 2020 was given to him by Gehlot.
Earlier, Sharma had claimed that he had got three clips from social media and forwarded them to news organisations.
"... Till today, I kept telling everyone that I received those audio clips from social media... But this is not the truth. On 16 July 2020, some audio clips went viral via the media because I shared them with the media using my phone number," Sharma said while speaking to reporters.
"I did not get the audio clip from social media. The then-chief minister Ashok Gehlot had given me all these audio clips through this pen drive and asked me to circulate those to the media. I followed his instructions," he claimed while showing a pen drive to the reporters.
In those audios, a conspiracy was being made to topple the government by poaching MLAs. I did what I was told to... His PSO Ramniwas called me up and asked me to come to the CM House as the CM wanted to meet me... As soon as I reached him, he handed over a pen drive and a paper, which I circulated among the people through you.
This paper allegedly contained a reference to a conversation between Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Late MLA Bhanwarlal Sharma, and Sanjay Jain, and this pen drive contained their audio.

Sharma also alleged that Shekhawat was made to look as the main accused regarding the entire issue and it was alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party along with Sachin Pilot and other MLAs were trying to topple the government.
"They wanted to prove that the BJP was behind all this. Which was not the case," he said.
"Then Deputy CM Sachin Pilot even said that no one was listening to them even when they wanted to tell their side of the story, so they all got together and reached the party's high command," Sharma said, adding: "But as soon as CM Ashok Gehlot got to know of this, he put everyone's phones on surveillance and was tracking them, including Sachin Pilot."
