AAP Convener Arvind Kejriwal & Bhagwant Mann Hold Roadshow In Amritsar To Thank Voters

Mann will be sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Punjab on March 16. The other MLAs will be sworn in later.

New Delhi: After getting a huge mandate in Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal and the new CM elect of Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann held a victory roadshow in Amritsar on Sunday. The roadshow was organised to thank the people of Punjab for the party’s sweeping victory in recently concluded assembly polls.

During the roadshow, Kejriwal said, "For the first time after so many years, Punjab has now got an honest Chief Minister. Now all the money will be spent on Punjab and its people. We will fulfill all the guarantees and make a 'Rangla' and happy Punjab," reported news agency ANI.

Mann also addressed the crowd and said, "We've decreased security of 122 people and due to that 403 police personnel and 27 police vehicles have returned to the police stations. No govt office will have CM's photos but will have pictures of Shaheed Bhagat Singh & Babasaheb Ambedkar."

Mann also tweeted a video of the roadshow and wrote, “Many thanks to the invaluable support given by 3 crore Punjabis for the fight to make Punjab a colorful Punjab again.”

Ahead of the roadshow, the two leaders visited Golden Temple, Durgiana Temple, and Jallianwala Bagh memorial. During the roadshow, the party’s workers and supporters flocked the roads with tricolour and the AAP flag in their hands.
