Three Pakistan Players Fined By ICC For Breaching Code Of Conduct Vs SA — Details Inside

PAK Vs SA: Three Pakistani cricketers have been fined for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during the ODI match vs South Africa on Wednesday. Read below.

PAK Vs SA: Pakistan cricketers Shaheen Shah Afridi, Saud Shakeel, and Kamran Ghulam have been fined 25% of the match fees after breaching the ICC Code of Conduct with their 'inapproriate' behaviour during the Pakistan vs South Africa, 3rd ODI of the Tri-Series 2025 at National Bank Stadium in Karachi on Wednesday, February 12.

"ICC has imposed fines on the three players for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during their tri-nation series match against South Africa in Karachi on Wednesday," reported ICC.

"Pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi was fined 25 per cent of his match fee for breaching Article 2.12 of the Code, which pertains to "inappropriate physical contact with a Player, Player Support Personnel, Umpire, Match Referee or any other person (including a spectator) during an International Match," it added.

Saud Shakeel and substitute fielder Kamran Ghulam were involved in another incident soon after the conclusion of Shaheen Shah Afridi's argument with Matthew Breetzke, as they celebrated Temba Bavuma's wicket too aggresively. The result: Pakistani duo was fined 10% of the match fees.

"Both players were found guilty of breaching Article 2.5 of the Code, which relates to "using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during an International MatchIn addition to the financial penalties, all three players have received one demerit point each on their disciplinary records. None of the players had any prior offences in the last 24 months. All players have accepted the sanctions imposed and there will be no formal hearings regarding the incidents," concluded ICC.

Pakistan registered a historic victory over South Africa by chasing down their highest ODI target, and will now face New Zealand in the Tri-Series Final on Friday, February 13.
