Who Did Musk's Son X Ask To Shut Up At White House? Netizens Wonder If It's Trump

Musk’s young son X Æ A-Xii made a surprise appearance at the White House, perched on his father’s shoulders during a public address regarding DOGE.

Elon Musk’s four-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii, became the unexpected centre of attention during a press conference at the White House on Tuesday. The event, held in the Oval Office, featured Musk alongside President Donald Trump as the two addressed the public regarding the billionaire’s role as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). However, X’s antics quickly took over the spotlight, leading to widespread discussion online.

As the president prepared to sign an executive order, Musk’s young son made a surprise appearance, perched on his father’s shoulders. While Musk spoke to reporters about his approach to streamlining government programmes, X seemed to mimic his father before abruptly telling someone off-camera to “sh” and “shut your mouth.”

The remark sparked laughter among some members of the press, adding a lighthearted moment to an otherwise serious discussion. At one point, X even stuck his fingers in Musk’s ears, prompting a reaction from the Tesla CEO.

“I thought my son might enjoy this, but he’s sticking his fingers in my ears and stuff,” Musk remarked, struggling to continue his speech. “So it’s been hard to hear sometimes,” he added, before addressing X directly: “Hey! Stop that.”

Despite the interruptions, Musk continued to emphasise his commitment to government efficiency and the broader goal of restoring democracy. When X once again interjected, the billionaire jokingly acknowledged the challenge of maintaining seriousness in such moments. “I tell you, gravitas can be difficult sometimes,” he said.

President Trump, unfazed by the child’s behaviour, praised X, calling him a “high IQ individual” at the start of the conference.

Who Did X Ask To Shut Up?

The event also spotlighted concerns surrounding DOGE, an initiative facing criticism over transparency issues. While Musk defended the program’s objectives, his son’s candid behaviour ultimately became the highlight of the day, leaving netizens to speculate about who exactly X had been addressing with his bold remarks.

One user wrote, “The little boy tells Trump to ‘shut up,’ it's just too much for me—what the hell is happening?” The remark led to further speculation, with some finding the possibility humorous while others insisted that wasn’t the case.

Another user dismissed the theory that Musk’s son was speaking to Trump, writing, “Hilarious, but he’s clearly not talking to Trump. Karoline Leavitt was sitting in that eyeline.” The comment referenced the Republican communications director, who was present at the event.

Meanwhile, another netizen suggested an alternative interpretation, stating, “He did not tell the president to shut up but the person he was looking at, who was probably telling him to STOP.”
