West Bengal: 9-Ft Burmese Python Rescued From Residential Area In Siliguri — WATCH

Forest officials of Dabgram Range captured a 9-foot-long Burmese python from a residential area of West Bengal's Siliguri.

A 9-foot-long Burmese python has been rescued from a residential area of West Bengal's Siliguri, causing quite a ruckus among residents. As soon as the residents spotted the enormous snake, they promptly notified the authorities. After the information, Forest officials of Dabgram Range arrived at the site to rescue the python.

In a video shared by news agency ANI,  it is seen that a large crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the reptile and its rescue process. All the gathered public was seen capturing video of the python using their smartphones.

From the video, it is also seen that one of the officials nabbed the neck of the snake and another held the tail to put it in a black bin. Later, the bin was placed into the official vehicle to transport it to a safer place.

Over 30 Snakes Emerge From House In Assam's Nagaon 

In another incident last month, more than 30 snake hatchlings emerged from a house in Nagaon district of Assam. According to reports, they were rescued by a young man named Sanjib Deka.

Deka highlighted that the snakes were discovered crawling out of the toilet in a newly constructed house in Kuwarital Chariali near the Kaliabor area.

Deka further stated about the recovery of snakes, "The house owner informed me about the presence of snakes and I reached the spot. I found that many snakes were crawling at the place. I recovered around 35 snakes crawling from a newly constructed toilet of the house. Later I release the snakes," according to ANI.
