Wriddhiman Saha Shares All Details With BCCI Probe Panel Over Controversy Involving Unidentified Journalist

Out-of-favor Saha was recently demoted to Group C of the BCCI central contracts. The entire controversy started after Saha was ignored by the selectors for India's home series against Sri Lanka.

New Delhi: Indian cricket team's senior wicket-keeper batter Wriddhiman Saha, who alleged he was bullied by a 'respected journalist' after he refused to give him an interview, on Saturday said he disclosed all the details to the three-member BCCI committee probing the much-publicised matter.

A three-member committee met the 37-year-old on Saturday in New Delhi to probe his allegations against the unidentified journalist.

"I have told the committee everything I know. I have shared all the details with them. I can't tell you much right now. BCCI has asked me not to talk about the meeting outside as they will answer all your queries," Saha told PTI after appearing before the committee.

Out-of-favor Saha was recently demoted to Group C of the BCCI central contracts. The entire controversy started after Saha was ignored by the selectors for India's home series against Sri Lanka.

After Saha was dropped, he revealed that during India's tour of South Africa, head coach Dravid had told him that he was no longer in the scheme of things. He also revealed that BCCI President Sourav Ganguly had assured him of his place after his gritty knock of 61 against New Zealand.

On February 19, Saha took to Twitter to share screenshots of a chat with a "respected journalist".

Sharing the screenshot, Saha wrote, "After all of my contributions to Indian cricket..this is what I face from a so called "Respected" journalist! This is where the journalism has gone."

Wriddhiman Saha has played 40 Test matches for India and has scored 1353 runs which included three 100s and six 50s.
