Women's WC Final: Alyssa Healy's Breathtaking Ton Powers Australia To Seventh Women's ODI WC Title

England had a big task of pulling off a record chase in the summit clash. Natalie Sciver (148* off 121 balls) notched up her second successive ton against Australia today but ran out of partners.

New Delhi: A breathtaking hundred from Alyssa Healy (170 runs off 138 balls) helped Australia win their seventh Women's World Cup title by defeating defending champions England by 71 runs in the final of the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2022 at the Hagley Oval ground in Christchurch on Sunday.

Australia had earlier won the  Women's World Cup title in 1978, 1982, 1988, 1997, 2005, and 2013. Apart from this, the team ended up as runner-up in 1973 and 2000.

Put to bat first after losing the toss, Australia set a mammoth target of 357 runs for England to win, courtesy of an unforgettable 170 run innings from Healy.
