New Delhi: Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals (RR) secured their second consecutive win in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 by defeating Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians by 23 runs at Navi Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium on Saturday.
Chasing a mammoth 194 run target for the win, Mumbai Indians star batters Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma stitched a solid 71-run stand in nine overs to pull their team back into the game after skipper Rohit Sharma's early dismissal.

Both Ishan Kishan and Tilak Verma scored half-centuries. Meanwhile, during the match, Tilak Varma, who scored 61 runs off just 33 deliveries, almost took out a cameraman with his brilliant six in the 12th over.

Batting first, Rajasthan had set a target of 194 runs against Mumbai but the most successful team in the history of IPL could only score 170 runs in 20 overs. Star opener Jos Buttler scored a brilliant century to help Rajasthan post a big total against Mumbai. He scored 100 runs with the help of 11 fours and 5 sixes. After win over MI, Rajasthan secured the first position in IPL 2022 points table.
