Warne's Batting Nemesis Tendulkar Finds Place In Spin Maestro's Greatest World ODI XI

Warne's All Time Best ODI XI was nothing short of a star studded unit that included some of the greatest exponents with the willow and red cherry in the sport's modern era.

Australian spin legend Shane Warne was the nemesis of many a batting wizards during his prime and was arguably the greatest leg spinner of his era. Warne who has been donning the selectors hat to pick his Best XIs for all the opponents he played against, picked up his Greatest ODI XI. Warne's All Time Best ODI XI  was nothing short of  a star studded unit that included some of the greatest exponents with the willow and red cherry in the sport's modern era. The highlight of Warne's selection was him picking the Indian duo of Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag as the top order batsmen of his team. Every cricket fan remembers the duels between Shane Warne and Sachin Tendulkar on the cricket field way back in the 90s and 00s. While engaging with his followers by going live on Instagram on April 7, Warne said that Sanath Jayasuriya, Brian Lara, Kevin Pietersen, Kumar Sangakkara, Andrew Flintoff, Wasim Akram, Daniel Vettori, Shoaib Akhtar and Curtly Ambrose would also be a part of his team. Warne and Tendulkar also went head-to-head at a match to  to celebrate the bicentenary year of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) at Lord's when Warne led the MCC team against Tendulkar's Rest of the World in an ODI. “If you look at this side, this is pretty amazing,” Warne said on Instagram after naming his playing XI. Warne played 194 ODIs for Australia and finished his career in the 50-over format with 293 wickets. He was a crucial member of the Australian 1999 World Cup final squad as he took 20 wickets in the tournament.
