Tendulkar Lone Indian To Feature In Afridi's All Time World XI

Afridi's All Time World XI team was studded with five of his fellow Pakistani cricketers, four from Australia and one apiece from South Africa and India.

New Delhi:Former Pakistani cricketer and star all-rounder Shahid Afridi donned the selectors hat on Thursday to pick his all-time Test playing XI and only one Indian made the cut in Karachi Pathan's team. Afridi's All Time World XI team was studded with five of his fellow Pakistani cricketers, four from Australia and one apiece from South Africa and India. Afridi picked his former opening partner Saeed Anwar and Australia's dashing wicket-keeper batsman Adam Gilchrist as his opening pair followed by two modern day batting greats in Australia captain Ricky Ponting and Sachin Tendulkar. The ever dependable Inzamam-ul-Haq and Jacques Kallis formed the core of the middle-order lineup along with wicket-keeper Rashid Latif. The bowling combination of his World XI had a menacing look to it with mouthwatering pace trio of Wasim Akram, Shoaib Akhtar, and Glenn McGrath. Meanwhile, Shane Warne was the lone spinner in Boom Boom Afridi's dream Test team. Afridi All-time World XI: Saeed Anwar, Adam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting, Sachin Tendulkar, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Jacques Kallis, Rashid Latif (WK), Wasim Akram, Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath, Shoaib Akhtar.
