Watch: Naveen-Ul-Haq's Celebration After Taking The Wicket Of Rohit Sharma In IPL 2023 Eliminator
It was a length delivery by Naveen and Rohit wanted to hit it over extra cover but then he miscued the shot and was caught by Ayush Badoni.
The five-time IPL winners Mumbai Indians defeated Lucknow Super Giants in an IPL 2023 Eliminator in Chennai on Wednesday. They will now be playing against Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 2 for a place in the final. However, skipper Rohit Sharma once again had a rough outing with the bat as he fell for just 11 runs in the fourth over against LSG pacer Naveen-ul-haq.
It was a length delivery by Naveen and Rohit wanted to hit it over extra cover but then he miscued the shot and was caught by Ayush Badoni. Just after getting Rohit’s wicket, he covered his ears to celebrate this wicket, likely to drown out the sounds of the fans who have been shouting “Kohli Kohli” in every LSG game.

Talking about the game, Mumbai-based franchise won the toss and decided to bat first against Lucknow Super Giants in the eliminator game on Wednesday. MI put up a total of 182/8 riding on Cameron Green's 41 off 23, Suryakumar Yadav's 33 off 20, and a crucial cameo by Nehal Wadhera (23 off 12). In reply, LSG were in a good position at one point in time but then Akash Madhwal's record-breaking bowling restricted LSG batters to just 101 runs. The MI bowler ended the match with the figures of 5/5 in 3.3 overs, joining the elite list of best-ever IPL bowling figures, consisting of Anil Kumble, and Jasprit Bumrah.
