First-Ball Ducks In IPL, Return Of AB de Villiers: Virat Kohli Bares All In Interview | WATCH

During a fun interview with Danish Sait aka Mr. Nags for RCB Insider, Kohli said something like this has never happened in his career so far where he got dismissed on first-ball ducks more than once.

New Delhi: Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli, known for his on-field aggression and hard-hitting responses during interviews, was sporting enough to take jokes on his three golden ducks in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

During a fun interview with Danish Sait aka Mr. Nags for RCB Insider, Kohli said something like this has never happened in his career so far where he got dismissed on first-ball ducks more than once.

In IPL 2022, the batter is enduring one of the worst phases of his career, having scored 216 runs in 12 matches in the IPL with just one half-century. Interestingly, Kohli was dismissed for 0 in RCB's last game on May 8 against SRH.

"It has never happened to me ever in my career I think, so I just smiled. I felt like I have seen everything that the game has to show," Kohli said during the conversation.

"First-ball ducks. After the second one (duck), I actually realised what It feels like to be like you (Mr Nags character), absolutely helpless. It hasn’t happened to me ever in my career, I think. I have seen everything now. It’s been so long, I have seen everything in this game," Kohli said in a light-hearted mood.

The former Indian skipper's response came after Mr Nags made a joke about his performance asking Kohli if he had pets, to which the RCB star responded by saying 'no'. He (Mr Nags) then cracked a joke saying, "what about the three ducks you have?". Both chuckled thereafter.

Later in the conversation, Kohli also said that he doesn't pay heed to opinions and keeps critics at bay. "They can't be in my shoes, they can't be in my shoes, they can't feel what I feel, they can't live those moments," he added.

AB de Villiers Will Be Back In RCB Next Season

When asked about his friend and South African superstar AB de Villiers, Kohli said that he will be back at the Royal Challengers Bangalore in a new role next year.

"I miss him a lot. I talk to him regularly. He was in the US recently with his family watching golf... He is keenly observing RCB and hopefully he will be here next year in some capacity," Kohli said.

Before retiring from all forms of cricket last year, De Villiers had been a big part of RCB family.

De Villiers became a part of RCB back in 2011 and has scored 4,491 runs in 170 innings, including 37 half-centuries and two centuries in 11 seasons with the three-time IPL finalists.
