Sophie Molineux Takes 3 Wickets In 4 Balls To Turn WPL Final On Its Head As RCB Roar Back Vs DC- WATCH

After DC got off to a great start, Sophie Molineux's three-wicket over brought RCB back into the WPL 2024 final at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday (March 17).

The Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 final is currently underway at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. It was the Delhi Capitals (DC) who won the toss and elected to bat first in this titular contest and even got off to a great start with Shafali Verma taking the charge to the opposition as Delhi managed to post a total in excess of 60 runs inside the powerplay.

However, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), roared their way back into the game after the powerplay. First it was Georgia Wareham who delivered a three-run over before Sophie Molineux delivered an over which brought them back into the match big time. She first got rid of Shafali who departed after scoring 44 off 27 balls before getting rid of Jemimah Rodrigues and Alice Capsey off successive deliveries to take three wickets in the same over. She was on a hat-trick as well but Marizanne Kapp managed to survive the fifth ball of the over after three wickets fell for nothing implying DC went from 63/0 to 63/3 in a span of 4 balls.

The video of the incredible over from Sophie Molineux was shared by WPL on its official social media handle.

RCB Make One Change In Playing 11 For WPL 2024 Final

While DC have gone into this game unchanged, RCB have made a solitary change into their Playing 11 for this side, bringing in S Meghana for Shradhha Pokharkar. Neither teams have won a WPL title or an Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy despite the franchises participating in the competition since the inaugural edition of the tournament in 2008.
