Royal Challengers Bangalore outplayed Rajasthan Royals by 112 runs in a one-sided affair at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday. RCB bowlers wreaked havoc and dismantled the Royals’ batting lineup. While chasing a target of 172 runs, Rajasthan batters were dismissed for just 59 runs in 10.3 overs, with Wayne Parnell scalping three wickets for RCB, Michael Bracewell and Karn Sharma taking two wickets each. RR's slat match hero Jaiswa departed early in the innings also Samson, Root, and Buttler completely failed. Shimron Hetmyer did try to put on a fightback but then he could not save his team and was sent to the pavilion.
Skipper Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell smashed half-centuries as Royal Challengers Bangalore put up a decent total of 171 runs against Rajasthan Royals in their Indian Premier League match on Sunday. Earlier, after opting to bat first, du Plessis (55 off 44 balls) and Maxwell (54 off 33 balls) continued their solid form but then Royals’ bowlers produced a disciplined bowling effort to restrict RCB to a competitive total.
Apart from Faf and Maxwell, RCB once again middle-order failed once again but young batter Anuj Rawat came and gave a finishing touch and made 29 not out off just 11 balls and contributed to RCB’s total. For RR, Australian spinner Adam Zampa picked up two wickets for 25 runs while pacer KM Asif also scalped two wickets after giving away 42 runs.
