Rohit, Nita Ambani's 'Serious' Conversation After MI vs KKR Goes Viral

While the topic of their discussion remains unclear, Nita Ambani appeared serious, and the video of their exchange has since gone viral on social media.

Mumbai Indians (MI) opened their account in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 with a thumping 8-wicket win over defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 12th match of the season at Wankhede Stadium. This win earned MI two crucial points, but concerns over Rohit Sharma's form persisted.

Nita Ambani's serious discussion with Rohit goes viral

After the match, Mumbai Indians' owner Nita Ambani was seen having a conversation with former captain Rohit Sharma.

While the topic of their discussion remains unclear, Nita Ambani appeared serious, and the video of their exchange has since gone viral on social media. Rohit, who has struggled in the tournament so far, has scored just 21 runs in three matches, including a duck in the opener against Chennai Super Kings.

Mumbai Indians bounce back after two defeats

Mumbai Indians (MI) endured a tough start to the season, losing their first two matches. They suffered a 4-wicket defeat against CSK in their opener, followed by a 36-run loss to Gujarat Titans. However, they bounced back in style against KKR, securing a much-needed win.

Mumbai bowlers dominate KKR

MI bowlers delivered a stunning performance, dismantling KKR for just 116 runs in 16.2 overs. KKR's batting lineup crumbled early, losing five wickets for just 45 runs. Ashwini Kumar was the star with a brilliant 4-wicket haul, while Deepak Chahar chipped in with two crucial wickets.

With this victory, Mumbai Indians have gained momentum, but Rohit Sharma’s continued struggle with the bat remains a concern as the tournament progresses.

Hardik Pandya, after MI's first win in IPL 2025, said: "Very satisfying to win, especially at home. The way we did it, as a group, everyone chipped in - can't be happier. It's always a challenge of picking one guy here and there. With our team it's pretty sorted with the players who we are backing. This wicket just offered a bit more and we thought Ashwani can come in and bowl the way he bowled.

"First of all, it's all because of the scouts. All MI scouts have gone all the places and picked these young kids. We played a practice game and it looked like he had that zip and late swing, had a different action and plus he is a leftie. The way he took that wicket of Russell was a very crucial wicket. And especially, how he started with that catch of Quinton. Was great to see a fast bowler jumping that high. As I mentioned earlier, it's a great sign for everyone to chip in and kick of the tournament for us."
