Delhi Capitals, who recently parted ways with head coach Ricky Ponting, are reportedly searching for a replacement for Rishabh Pant. After being sidelined for nearly a year due to a car accident, Pant's return last season saw the team perform disappointingly under his captaincy.

According to the report, Delhi Capitals management is not satisfied with Rishabh Pant's performance as a captain and has not yet decided whether to retain him for IPL 2025. If Pant is released, there is a possibility that Chennai Super Kings may attempt to acquire the wicketkeeper-batter.

KL Rahul to leave Lucknow Super Giants?

KL Rahul, who was acquired by the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for a record Rs 17 crore in the 2022 auction, is highly unlikely to be retained by the team for IPL 2025.

South Africa's Quinton De Kock has been associated with the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the last three seasons. De Kock also has captaincy experience, having led South Africa. If the Lucknow team retains him for IPL 2025, they might consider giving him the responsibility of captaincy.
