Australian speedster Mitchell Starc will be under limelight when he takes the field for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Starc became the most expensive player in the history of the cash-rich league after being purchased by Rs. 24.75 Crore by the franchise at the IPL 2024 Auction. However, before the start of the seventeenth edition of the tournament, Starc has got a glimpse of how difficult it would be for him to deliver the goods in what is one of the most sought after leagues in the world with players from around the cricketing sphere plying their trade in the competition.

In a video which is now doing the rounds on the internet, one of Starc's delivery was hit for a maximum from his KKR teammate Rinku Singh during a practice game. With the best of Indian talent also on display during the tournament, it would be interesting to see how the 34-year-old fares up in IPL 2024. Notably, this is the first time Starc will play the IPL since the 2015 edition of the competition when he played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

KKR To Begin IPL 2024 Campaign On March 23

KKR are set to begin their IPL 2024 campaign on March 23. They will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their first match of the season at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata before travelling to Bangalore and Delhi for their subsequent matches of the season. Only the schedule for the first 21 IPL matches have been announced so far as the organisers were waiting for Lok Sabka Election date announcement. With the Poll dates being confirmed by the Election Commission, the rest of the IPL schedule could be out anytime soon.
