MS Dhoni To Retire After IPL 2024? Suresh Raina's One-Word Response Goes Viral- WATCH

MS Dhoni To Retire After IPL 2024? Video of Suresh Raina's one-worded response has gone viral on social media.

MS Dhoni To Retire After IPL 2024? That is one question which often pops up in the minds of not only the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans but almost on the minds of all Indian cricket lovers. With Dhoni having already retired from international cricket, IPL happens to be the only competitive tournament where fans get to see a glimpse of the cricket legend. Given what he has achieved for Team India and Indian cricket during his stint as a wicketkeeper-batter and captain, fans will definitely miss him once he hangs up his boots from the IPL, irrespective of which team they support in the tournament.

Dhoni's former Team India and CSK teammate Suresh Raina was also asked the same question when he was commentating in an IPL match. All he had to offer was a one-worded answer, the video of which has gone viral on social media.

"It doesn’t seem like this will be his last season," Raina's fellow commentator and ex-India player RP Singh remarked after which Raina simply said: "Khelenge (Will Play)."

CSK In Top Half Of IPL 2024 Points Table

As far CSK are concerned, they are being led by Ruturaj Gaikwad this season after Dhoni decided to hand over the captaincy days before the IPL 2024 opener. The Men in Yellow find themselves at the third place on the tally with 4 wins and 2 defeats after 6 matches. They have a net run rate (NRR) of +0.726. Dhoni has looked in good nick with the bat as well, striking at 236 in the limited opportunities that he has got so far in IPL 2024.

With his long hair and power striking resembling the Dhoni that first announced himself on the world stage, it will not be a surprise if he manages to play another IPL. However, the struggle with his knee injury would be one major factor that would be on his when he sits to decide if this will be his last IPL. Or perhaps he has already made up his mind but the fans are yet to know his decision.
