MS Dhoni, Deepak Chahar Share Playful Moment After CSK’s Win Over MI — WATCH
MS Dhoni shared a light-hearted moment with former teammate Deepak Chahar after CSK’s four-wicket win over Mumbai Indians in their IPL 2025 opener.

MS Dhoni was seen sharing a light-hearted moment with his former teammate and Mumbai Indians pacer Deepak Chahar after the CSK vs MI IPL 2025 clash on March 23 (Sunday). CSK, led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, defeated the Suryakumar Yadav-led Mumbai Indians by four wickets to win their campaign opener. Notably, this loss continued Mumbai Indians' unwanted streak of losing their first IPL match to 13 years.
The camaraderie between Dhoni and Chahar goes back a long way — it was under Dhoni’s captaincy that Chahar not only made his mark in the IPL with CSK but also developed into a player worthy of earning an India cap.

As MS Dhoni walked out to bat with the match nearly in the bag, Deepak Chahar playfully tried to sledge his former captain by gesturing that he would be fielding at short silly point. He also gave Dhoni a loud round of applause, adding a touch of humour before the legendary batter took guard at the crease.

After CSK's four-wicket win over MI, Dhoni jokingly hit Chahar with his bat in a light-hearted moment shared between the two during the customary post-match handshake.
