Speaking after the match, MS Dhoni had a unique perspective, as he urged his players to look at the 'positives', as they need to trust ann back their strength, if they are to turnaround their fortunes in IPL 2025.

Here's What MS Dhoni Said

MS Dhoni (Chennai Super Kings Captain):

"Well, I feel there has been quite a few nights which have not gone our way. We need to go back to the drawing board and think about the basics which we are doing wrong. We need to accept the challenge and figure out ways to score runs for the team. Today I felt, we didn't have enough runs on the board."

"Whenever we bowled first, the ball stopped a bit and today also the ball was stopping. But also if you lose too many wickets, cricket seems to be a lot different. It's always difficult for the new batter to walk in and get going from ball one. We never really got a partnership going. That also makes things tough."

"Well I think what is important is, we need to look into the positives. We have had a couple of good games in the season. What's important for us is, we need to back our strength. We can't look at what the others are doing. Our openers are very good batters. They can play authentic shots but we need to build partnerships."

"They are not the ones who will start slogging. You can't be desperate after having a look at the scoreboard. Partnerships are very important for us. If you start looking for 60 in 6 overs, things will be difficult for us. We can't lose too many wickets inside the powerplay as it makes things very difficult for the middle order batters."
