Ex-India pacer Dodda Ganesh was relentless while criticising KL Rahul as he took to Twitter to call his knock vs RCB "the most hideous innings played in the history of IPL".
KL Rahul in IPL 2023: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in a last-ball thriller to secure their third win in four matches in 2023 season of Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) on Monday (April 10). Batting first, Royal Challengers Bangalore set a mammoth 213-run target for Lucknow Super Giants. Chasing such a big total, under-fire LSG skipper KL Rahul notched up just 18 runs off 20 deliveries, scoring runs at a strike rate of less than 100 in the shortest format. Rahul's slow innings faced heavy scrutiny from fans and cricket pundits, including former India cricketer Dodda Ganesh.

"This innings from KL Rahul has to be the most hideous innings played in the history of IPL ever considering the context of the game. Man. What’s in his mind? Seriously. This can’t happen for so long at this level. It’s not school cricket," wrote Dooda on Twitter.

Talking about the match, Virat Kohli (44-balls 61), Faf Du Plessis (46-balls 79), and Glenn Maxwell (29-balls 59) scored fiery fifties half-centuries helped RCB post 212 on board after losing just two wickets. LSG had a horrible start, losing wickets at regular intervals. Marcus Stonis put Lucknow in commanding position with his quick-fire 30-balls 65 run innings. After dismissal of Stonis, Nicholas Pooran slammed 2nd fastest fifty in IPL history to make sure his team ends up being the winner.
