IPL 2025: Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets in Match 46 of IPL 2025 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Sunday, April 27 to go on top of the table with 14 points.
With the result, RCB avenge their defeat to DC at Bengaluru, and are now in touching distance of sealing a playoff spot for this season.
Here's what Krunal Pandya said after wining POTM award:
"It is always good to get the result. Sometimes, the hard work you put in behind the scenes, when you get results, it is very satisfying. [On getting promoted up the order] My role was clear, if we lose 3 early wickets. I can go and stitch a partnership. With Jitesh and David can take down the bowling. Glad to fulfill my role, that was given to me."
"[On partnership with Kohli] I mean obviously, when Virat is there at the other end, it is always quite easy. I give him a lot of credit. He kept backing me, asked me to look to hit pockets. Lots of credit goes to him."
"[On his bowling] I have always been economical. This is my 10th season. As a bowler, I wanted to be one step ahead. This year, I have worked a lot on my bowling. Varying my pace and knowing batters' strength and using it to my advantage."
"[On his bowling variations] I mean if you see, in IPL, batsmanship is getting better. As a bowler, you have to be one-step ahead. I have bowled it in the past as well. Bowling a bouncer and wide yorker, I want to get in my armoury. I want to keep the batters guessing and if that is what I am bowling, it will work on my favour."
