IPL 2025 Points Table: KKR Climbs To Top 4, Orange & Purple Cap Holders
Kolkata Knight Riders, with their third win in six games, broke into the top 4, pushing Punjab Kings out of playoff contention - for now.

Chennai Super Kings' turbulent run in IPL 2025 hit a new low with their fifth consecutive defeat, this time at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders at Chepauk.
MS Dhoni's return as captain raised hopes of a turnaround, but instead, CSK delivered one of their most disappointing performances of the season - posting their lowest-ever total at home and dropping further in the standings.
CSK Collapse at Chepauk
In match 25 of the tournament, KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and elected to field first. CSK's batting crumbled under pressure, managing just 103/9 in their 20 overs. Sunil Narine was the star with the ball, claiming 3 wickets, while Harshit Rana and Varun Chakravarthy picked up two each.
Chasing the modest target, KKR made light work of the CSK attack. Narine's quickfire 44 off 18 balls powered Kolkata to 107/2 in just 10.1 overs, sealing a dominant 8-wicket win. Narine was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
