IPL 2024 Updated Points Table, Orange Cap and Purple Cap: Mumbai Indians (MI) got back to winning ways in their match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday (May 6). MI won the toss and elected to bowl first, with SRH managing to post 173/8 in their 20 overs. Travis Head (48 off 30) was the top-scorer for the Orange Army in this match but it was really Pat Cummins' 17-ball 35* that took them to the total that they eventually managed.
In response, MI were 31/3 at one stage but Suryakumar Yadav's unbeaten hundred took them over thel line with Tilak Varma also chipping in with an unbeaten 32-ball 37. Suryakumar was superb in his attacking approach and scored 12 fours and 6 sixes as MI tasted their fourth win of the season.

MI's win has changed the look of the IPL 2024 points table with four teams tied at 8 points and 3 teams stuck at 12.
