IPL 2023: AB de Villiers Or MS Dhoni? Virat Kohli Names His Favorite Cricketer
In a This or That session with Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 official broadcaster Star Sports, Virat Kohli was asked to choose between MS Dhoni and AB de Villiers.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni and AB de Villiers, regarded as two of the greatest wicket-keeper batters of all time, retired from international cricket a long time ago but the legendary duo still enjoy great fan-following all over the world. Both veterans share a great bond with Indian batting mainstay Virat Kohli and over the years, played alongside him in many matches.

In a This or That session with Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 official broadcaster Star Sports, Virat Kohli was asked to choose between MS Dhoni and AB de Villiers but the legendary batting didn't pick one saying "both". Apart from picking his favorite cricketer between MS Dhoni and AB de Villiers, Virat also named M Chinnaswamy stadium - home ground of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) - as his favorite venue over Adelaide Oval. As for his favorite short, Virat chose cover drive over flick.

The last time AB de Villiers played an international game was for his IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on October 11, 2021. MS Dhoni is still playing in the IPL, leading four-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the world's richest T20 tournament and most likely will play his last IPL season this year as a player.
Virat Kohli made his international debut in the year 2008, with MS Dhoni as his skipper and mentor. Talking about Virat's journey so far in the 2023 season of IPL, his team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) sustained a humiliating 81-run loss against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their IPL 2023 match on Thursday (April 7).
