IPL 2022 | KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis & Ravi Bishnoi To Be Part Of IPL Lucknow Team: Sources

KL Rahul, who is currently going to captain the ODI series in the absence of Rohit Sharma in the South Africa series, can also become the captain of the Lucknow team in this year's IPL.

IPL 2022: KL Rahul has been picked by the Lucknow IPL franchise ahead of the 2022 Auction that is set to happen on February 12 and 13. T20 World Cup winner Australia's Marcus Stoinis and Rajasthan's Ravi Bishnoi are the other two players understood to have been picked by Lucknow's IPL franchise before the auction.

KL Rahul was earlier playing in IPL for Punjab Kings from 2018 and was also captaining the team. Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis was playing for Delhi Capitals in IPL, while Ravi Bishnoi was playing for Punjab Kings just like KL Rahul.

The franchise will now enter the Auction with a purse of INR 60 crore. KL Rahul cost the franchise INR 15 crore, while Marcus Stoinis for 11 crore, reported ESPN Cricinfo. Ravi Bishnoi, on the other hand, was picked at 4 crore rupees.

KL Rahul, who is currently going to captain the ODI series in the absence of Rohit Sharma in the South Africa series, can also become the captain of the Lucknow team in this year's IPL.

Meanwhile, a major update related to the Ahmedabad franchise has come to the fore. As per news agency PTI, Ahmedabad has finalised Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, and Shubman Gill as their draft picks for the upcoming IPL season.

"Ahmedabad has decided on its players and accordingly informed the BCCI about their draft picks. Hardik, Rashid, and Shubman are the three choices," a senior IPL official told PTI on conditions of anonymity.
