IPL 2022: Jasprit Bumrah & Nitish Rana Fined 10% Match Fee For Breaching Code Of Conduct

KKR vs MI, IPL 2022: Both Nitish Rana and Jasprit Bumrah have admitted to the Level 1 offence of the IPL Code of Conduct

IPL 2022: Nitish Rana of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Jasprit Bumrah of the Mumbai Indians (MI) have been fined 10% of their match fee for breaching the Level 1 offence of the IPL Code of Conduct.

Although the nature of the offence is not clear, it is being assumed that Nitish Rana hitting the advertisement board on his way back to the dressing room after getting out might be the reason for the same. No speculations have been made about Bumrah's offence.

The IPL website stated that both Rana and Bumrah have "been reprimanded and fined 10 percent of his match-fee for breaching the TATA Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct" during the Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders match at MCA Stadium in Pune.

The said players admitted to the Level 1 offence of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction. "For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding," stated an IPL Press release.

This is Mumbai Indians' third loss in a row. With three wins in four matches, KKR has secured the top position, while the Mumbai Indians lag behind at the ninth spot.
