'Cringe': Fans React As Orry Joins Commentary Box For CSK vs RCB IPL 2024 Opener

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to get underway on March 22 (Friday) with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) set to take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) with the tournament opener at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. With India being a cricket crazy nation, fans are waiting for the start of the cash-rich league with bated breath. The tournament will be telecasted on Star Sports Network while fans can catch the live streaming of IPL 2024 matches on JioCinema.
With separate broadcasters for digital streaming and television, there is a star-studded commentary list released by both Jio and Star. While Star has brought back Navjot Singh Sindhu into the scheme of things, Jio will stream the matches in 12 regional languages with commentators there for every match.
However, the decision to include Orry as one of the celebs who will be there for the tournament has ignited a controversy. Notably, while the Viacom-18 backed platform announced Orry's participation on social media, the ideas was that the entertainment quotient will be amplified if one ropes Orry in, the early reactions from fans haven't all been encouraging with a user calling it "cringe".

Ruturaj Gaikwad Takes Over CSK Captaincy From MS Dhoni
A day before the start of IPL 2024, CSK announced that it would be Ruturaj Gaikwad and not MS Dhoni who will be leading the franchise heading in IPL 2024. A Gaikwad-led CSK will take on Faf du Plessis' RCB in the season opener.
