However, a heavy downpour ensued, forcing the ground staff to quickly protect the field again and direct the players off the pitch, interrupting their warm-up routine.
Significant puddles formed on the covers and exposed parts of the outfield, requiring the ground staff to spend over an hour in preparation, assuming the rain ceased.
