"When I came to Delhi Capitals for the first time, I was pretty nervous about the fact that it was a new franchise, and how will I cope up. I always think that having self-confidence is extremely vital. Everyone has back me, and this backing has made me even happier for the fact that they are showing their trust in me," said Axar Patel.
"You are always growing as a senior player, if you have constantly delivered for your team. It really matters a lot, when you get rewarded for all your past hardwork and deeds. Being the senior of the side, and being associated with the franchise, I'm very excited for this role (Delhi Capitals captaincy)," said the all-rounder.
"A new game, but the same old 'Bapu'," concluded the newly-appointed DC captain.
