KL Rahul has become the second Indian opener in Indian Premier League (IPL) history to be dismissed for a diamond duck in the IPL. Before him, Gautam Gambhir was dismissed for a diamond duck against Delhi in 2013.
KL Rahul is currently the second-highest run-scorer in IPL 2022 with 451 runs. Tonight, the LSG skipper had an opportunity to get close to the top-ranked Jos Buttler (618) but missed due to on-field confusion between him and his partner De Kock, resulting in a run-out.
Earlier this season, KL Rahul was dismissed for golden ducks against Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals before being dismissed for a diamond duck in tonight's match against KKR.
