IPL 2021: Gautam Gambhir Feels MS Dhoni Should Bat At No. 4 After Chennai Qualifies For Playoffs

Former Team India cricketer Gautam Gambhir has given important advice to CSK captain MS Dhoni. Gambhir feels that Dhoni should bat at number four once Chennai Super Kings qualify for the IPL 2021 playoffs.

Gambhir said that Dhoni should play at No. 4 whether CSK is chasing the target or defending the score. Gambhir said, "Dhoni should play at No.4 when he qualifies for the Chennai playoffs. It doesn't matter whether CSK is chasing or defending the target. I want to see this happen and I hope it happens. The best thing for the captain is that you can think of where you have to batting."

Dhoni's batting position not fixed

Gambhir added, "Your No.3 and No.4 don't always score runs. You need to batting a little more, it will be easier. You will qualify for the playoffs but it may not be that the responsibility falls on you, you lose wickets early and you have to come and score runs."

Dhoni has not fixed any number for himself in CSK's batting lineup. He has come out for batting in the top 6 in a match while he is also seen batting at No. 8 in a match. CSK, in their next match, might possibly see MS Dhoni change his batting position in this match.
