IPL 13: CSK Seamer Deepak Chahar Tests Negative For Covid-19 Twice, Returns Back to Team's Bio Secure Bubble In UAE
"Deepak Chahar has returned two negative tests for Covid 19 and is back in team bubble," CSK CEO KS Viswanathan
In a massive boost to the fortunes of 3-time champions Chennai Super Kings ahead of the thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the UAE, seamer Deepak Chahar has recovered from coronavirus post his tests for Covid-19 returning negative.
Chahar has got back to the Chennai Super Kings' team bio secure bubble in the UAE, where the IPL will commence from September 19. CSK will open their 2020 IPL campaign against defending champions and arch rivals Mumbai Indians in Abu Dhabi on September 19.
"Deepak Chahar has returned two negative tests for Covid 19 and is back in team bubble," CSK CEO KS Viswanathan was quoted as saying by PTI on Wednesday.
"Now as per BCCI protocol, he will undergo a cardiovascular test which will be an indicator of his recovery. After that, he will have another Covid Test and if he is negative he can join the training," Viswanathan said.
Chennai Super Kings got quite the scare ahead of IPL 13 as thirteen of its members, including seamer Deepak Chahar and batsman Ruturaj Gaekwaad had tested positive for Covid-19 during their mandatory isolation period.

This meant that the 3-time champions had to delay their training sessions as compared to the other teams who began hitting the nets during the last week of August. CSK hit the nets only in the 1st week of September.
"It depends on his recovery. I can't put a timeline but another four days minimum. But it's not confirmed," Viswanathan replied when he was asked how many more days will it take for Chahar to make a comeback.
