IND vs WI: Irfan Pathan Posts Cryptic Tweet Minutes After BCCI Names ODI Squad For Windies Tour
Irfan Pathan took to the micro-blogging site to post a cryptic tweet, possibly suggesting that the squad touring Windies should have had more senior players.
New Delhi: Team India's former star bowler Irfan Pathan posted a bold tweet regarding BCCI's 16-member One-Day-International squad announcement for India's forthcoming tour to West Indies. Sharing his opinion, Pathan took to the micro-blogging site to post a cryptic tweet, most likely suggesting that the squad touring Windies should have had more 'out-of-form senior players' rather than just a second-string team. "No one comes back to form while resting…," Pathan tweeted while sharing his views.

After the T20 series between India and England, the ODI series between two teams will end on July 17, while India's Caribbean tour will begin on July 22. Players playing England ODIs could have been part of the ODI series, especially Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who are not in good form. However, the selectors decided to rest these players.
Pathan may not have directly named the BCCI or the selectors in his tweet, but he likely suggested that out-of-form players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant (white-ball cricket), struggling to score runs should be asked to play as many matches as possible to get back their form.
It seems that the BCCI decided to rest these players keeping in mind the workload management because the Asia Cup is to be played next month and then the T20 World Cup is to be held in Australia in October-November.
