IND vs NZ, ICC World Cup 2019, Semi-Final 1: While India produced a spree of wins to top the points table, Kiwis had somewhat of a down-slide, succumbing to three successive defeats after being unbeaten in their first six round robin encounters.

IND vs NZ, ICC World Cup 2019, Semi-Final 1: India will be facing New Zealand in the first semifinal of the ongoing Cricket World Cup at the Old Trafford cricket ground in Manchester. Kohli-led 'Men in Blue' would start as favourites against Williamson-skippered Black Caps as the Indian team hold the edge owing to their superior performances in the round robin stages of the tournament. While India produced a spree of wins to top the points table, Kiwis had somewhat of a down-slide, succumbing to three successive defeats after being unbeaten in their first six round robin encounters. New Zealand who have made it to record 8th semifinals at the World Cup would look to go a step further and repeat their performance of the last edition of the tournament, where they were the losing finalist to Trans-Tasman rivals Australia. The Kiwis will have to ensure that they get their A game in place to upset pre-tournament favourites India, who at this stage are looking like serious title contenders to lift the coveted trophy. Here are the key landmarks which can be attained by New Zealand players during their semifinal encounter against India Kane Williamson (481 runs) is 67 runs away to become the highest run-scorer for New Zealand in a single World Cup edition. Only Martin Guptill and Scott Styris are ahead of Williamson in this list with 547 runs (in 2015 CWC) and 499 runs (in 2007 CWC) respectively. Ross Taylor (913 runs) is 87 runs away from scaling the 1,000-run landmark in Cricket World Cup. Among the New Zealand batsmen, only Stephen Fleming (1,075 runs) scored over 1,000 runs in CWC career. Martin Guptill (975 runs) needs 25 runs more to complete his 1,000 runs in Cricket World Cup career. Ross Taylor (1,117 runs) is 91 runs behind to become the leading ODI run-scorer for New Zealand against India. Only Nathan Astle scored more ODI runs for the Black Caps against India Kiwi seamer Tim Southee (26 wickets) needs to pick up two more wickets to become the second highest ODI wicket-taker for New Zealand against India. Kyle Mills is leading the list with 32 ODI wickets. Tim Southee (497 wickets) is three wickets away to complete his 500 wickets in the international career. Among the New Zealand bowlers, only Daniel Vettori (696 wickets) and Sir Richard Hadlee (589 wickets) managed to pick up 500 international wickets.
