ICC Women's T20 WC Final: PM Modi, Australian PM Morrison Engage In Twitter Exchange Ahead Of Blockbuster Final

While 4-time world champions Australia will be eyeing a fifth title in front of their home fans at the MCG, India will look to script history by looking to win their maiden title in front of a record crowd.

New Delhi: As the adrenaline rush of millions of die-hard fans soars to tectonic heights ahead of the blockbuster final of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup between title favourites India and defending champions Australia on the International Women's Day, the Prime Ministers of both the finalist nation, Narendra Modi and Scott Morrison, were second to none in  joining in the bandwagon to extend their best wishes to respective national sides to win the coveted trophy at the showpiece event on Sunday. On the eve of the final, Scott Morrison took to social media, tagging PM Modi as he backed his country to lift the trophy. PM Modi replied to the tweet, saying, "Like the Blue Mountains, MCG will also be Blue tomorrow." While 4-time world champions Australia will be eyeing a fifth title in front of their home fans at the MCG, India will look to script history by looking to win their maiden title in front of a record crowd. As per reports, the mega finals on Sunday is expected to break the all-time record crowd for a women's sporting match of just above 90,000 that was set at the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup final, when USA beat China at the Rose Bowl in California. More than 60,000 tickets have already been sold for the epic clash between India and Australia. Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian team will lock horns against four-time champions and home favourites Australia in the high voltage finals of the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday. Dubbed as the women cricket's biggest game to be played, the iconic and grand MCG stadium is slated to accomodate more than 75,000 fans with #FilltheMCG as the marquee trend among social media platforms and famous pop singer Katy Perry creating a lively atmosphere in the stadium in the build up to the mega clash.
