ICC Test Rankings: Jasprit Bumrah Jumps To 4th Position, Kohli Slips To 9th Among Batters

New Delhi: Team India's star speedster Jasprit Bumrah, who took a fifer against Sri Lanka in Bengaluru Test, has made it to the top five bowlers in the latest Test rankings released by the ICC on Wednesday, jumping six places to the fourth position with 830 points.
In the recently concluded India vs Sri Lanka Bengaluru Test, Jasprit Bumrah picked a total of eight wickets, including a sensational five-wicket haul, his first-ever on home soil in a Test match.
Bumrah has now moved up to the fourth place, leaving behind some star bowlers like Shaheen Afridi, Kyle Jamieson, Tim Southee, James Anderson, Neil Wagner, and Josh Hazlewood.

Sri Lankan captain Dimuth Karunaratne has jumped three places to enter the top 5 in the ICC Men's Test batters rankings. Karunaratne scored a ton in the second innings of the Bangalore Test against India. This is Karunaratne's career-best ranking. He is now in the top 5 along with Marnus Labuschagne, Joe Root, Steve Smith, and Kane Williamson.
West Indies' Nkrumah Bonner and India's Shreyas Iyer made big gains, moving up 22 and 40 places to be at 22nd and 37th places, respectively. Bonner scored an unbeaten 38 and 123 against England in Antigua last week, while Iyer scored 92 and 67 in the Bengaluru Test against Sri Lanka to win the man of the match award. Jacques Crawley's 121 in the second innings against the West Indies saw him jump 13 places to 49th.
