All-rounder Hardik Pandya has been in controversy over some or the other reason.

During the T20 World Cup 2021, fans and cricket pundits had raised concerns over his fitness and selection in the Indian squad for the marquee event, after which he was benched for the T20 series against New Zealand. His chances of getting selected for India's tour to South Africa even hangs in balance and nothing is certain for him.

Recently, Hardik Pandya had to clarify his position in a social media statement over a controversy.

There were reports that the all-rounder was stopped at the Mumbai airport, and two of his watches which were worth 5 crores were seized by the customs department for not being able to produce an invoice for the same.

Pandya then took to social media to rubbish the allegations of not declaring his '2 watches worth 5 crores' and said that he hasn't 'crossed any legal boundaries'. Pandya said that he voluntarily went up to the customs department at the Mumbai airport to 'declare the items' bought by him.
