Legendary Tennis player Rafael Nadal has come up with an opinion on the topic that has been doing rounds for a while now as to who is a better footballer between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Both greats of the game have been ruling the football world ever since they started playing for their respective clubs and nations. Messi grabbed the FIFA World Cup 2022 and after that a lot of people managed to settle the GOAT debate as with the coveted trophy, the Argentine has completed football. Ronaldo on the other hand, is standing second to toe with his extraordinary goal-scoring records.
On the other hand, Ronaldo’s goal-scoring records are also second to none. Nadal who is a legendary Tennis player was asked to pick one between Messi and Ronaldo in a video that went viral.
The Spaniard came with an honest take and said, “Messi is better, but I’m a Real Madrid fan.” Previously, Nadal was spotted endorsing Messi as the most deserving sportsman for the coveted Laureus Award this year.

Nadal wrote, “An honor to be nominated again for the Laureus Sportsman of the year. But… this year… let’s go Messi, you deserve it.”
Messi went on to win the award too for the second time as the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner played a crucial role in Argentina’s World Cup win and was even awarded the Golden Ball for being the best player in Qatar.
The Argentina-based player also smashed a last-second winner with a curling shot in his first game while playing for Inter Miami on Friday. It was in the fourth minute of the game when Messi got a free kick just outside the box in the league cup game against Mexican club Cruz Azul standing at 1-1.
At Cruz Azul, goalkeeper Andres Gudino's spot, Messi took a glance by keeping his head down before a high curl shot towards the keeper’s right and into the top corner to deliver the 2-1 triumph.
