Delhi Elections 2025: One-Phase Polling Likely, Voting on 6th February, Counting on 8th February

According to sources, the elections are likely to be conducted in a single phase, with voting slated for 6th February and the vote counting process scheduled for 8th February. The current term of the Delhi Legislative Assembly will end on 23rd February 2025, necessitating the timely completion of elections. Political activities in Delhi are reaching a peak, with various parties intensifying their campaigns and claims ahead of the electoral battle. The release of the final voter list, which includes over 1.55 crore registered voters, further fuels the growing anticipation surrounding the elections. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who will be contesting from the New Delhi constituency, faces a tough challenge from BJP's Pravesh Verma and Congress' Sandeep Dikshit. Similarly, CM candidate Atishi is all set to contest from the Kalkaji seat. With political leaders from both the AAP and BJP making bold claims, the announcement of the dates marks the beginning of a high-stakes election season in the national capital.
