Expecting axe for India series, Denesh Ramdin lashes out at West Indies Cricket Board

Port of Spain: West Indies wicket-keeper Denesh Ramdin has lashed out at the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) for apparently leaving him out of the squad for the upcoming Test series against India. West Indies still hasn't publically announced the squad for the four-Test series but Ramdin took to Twitter to let his fans know that he had been dumped from the squad and blamed new chairman of selectors Courtney Browne for the decision. "What a rainy day, lil heads up for shotta 80 fans wouldn't be playin in test series vs india.new chairman says my avg isn't Gud," he tweeted on Wednesday. Ramdin had finished with scores of 59 and 62 in his last two innings during West Indies' tour of Australia last year and the former Test captain provided stats of his previous two innings in his tweets. "Last 2 innings over 60 vs Australia down under but not good to play anymore," he wrote. Directing his attack towards Browne, Ramdin went on to tweet, "Life goes on man God is great, what I haven't done in my test career for sure was dropping any batsman to score double hundred vs WI. "Man who's telling my average is bad with 25.87 but his is 16 telling me about batting an has never scored international hundred shameless," he wrote. In 2012, Ramdin had taken out a piece of paper reading "YEH VIV, TALK NAH" after scoring a century against England after Vivian Richard had been critical of him. Ramdin had taken over wicket keeping duties from Courtney Brown in 2005. Since then he has played 74 matches and scored 2898 run at an average of 25.87. He also captained the team briefly in 13 matches. India is set to play four Tests against the West Indies, starting with the opening Test at North Sound, Antigua from July 21.
