Now we can't be sure whether twirling bat is anyhow helping Root score runs but it is obvious that Root's tour of Sri Lanka as a batsman is going great. Joe Root has scored about 50 percent (49.26%) of the total runs scored by England so far during England's tour of Sri Lanka.
In the first innings of the second Test being played in Galle, Root scored his 19th century of his career and also completed 1500 runs in Asia. These runs have been scored by the England captain at an awesome average of 55 off 31 innings. Now, seeing Root play on the Asian pitches with such aggression, the nervousness of Team India is bound to increase.
